Thy Kingdom come 13-23 May
We are distributing the family prayer adventure map at both schools in the Benefices.
For young children 3-11 - Flagship children’s resource this year –The Cheeky pandas 11 part video series teaching children about the Bible through prayer, song, worship, word and interviews with high profile leaders. It is being used worldwide in the Church and beyond. For example – it is being televised in the UK- by several Christian Broadcasters and will feature on BBC Songs of Praise. Such is the demand for the resource, it is being translated into Korean and Finnish.
With contributors such as Bear Grylls, Gemma Hunt and ++Justin it should be great for all the family. For each episode there are accompanying activity packs, family service sheets and catechist/ catholic versions. This Sunday, we will be sharing the episode of CP with Bear Grylls, postponed due to HRH Duke of Edinburgh death. It will air at 4pm BST on Thy Kingdom Come’s YouTube and Facebook channels.
There is also the Family Prayer Adventure Map and App which features the Cheeky Pandas and is packed with bonus activity and content using augmented reality.
For Young people - Youth reflections- We have produced a series of 11 video reflections, in partnership with the Archbishop of York’s Youth Trust, from young influencers including Guvna B, Pippa Baker, Joshua Luke Smith, Elle Limebear and more for this year’s Thy Kingdom Come. Each video is based on one of the daily themes of TKC and has an accompanying discussion plan suitable for use in schools, colleges, youth groups and at home.
